Young Professionals Group

SOCIAL AND PROFESSIONAL NETWORKING WITH A PURPOSE

The Parks Youth Ranch Young Professionals Group (YPG) brings together emerging leaders in their twenties and thirties who are passionate about giving back. Members connect through philanthropy and service to support Parks Youth Ranch’s mission — providing emergency shelter, counseling, and life-changing services to youth in crisis across Fort Bend County.

The purpose of YPG is to expand community awareness of youth homelessness and to build a network of advocates who champion PYR’s mission through engagement, fundraising, and volunteerism. Members enjoy meaningful opportunities to make an impact while developing personal and professional connections with like-minded peers.

HOW DO WE HELP?

YPG members are encouraged to participate in quarterly activities — whether through volunteering at the Ranch, hosting a donation drive, or advocating for youth in the community — as well as PYR’s signature YPG event, Paddles for a Purpose.

Through these efforts, members help raise awareness and vital funds that directly benefit the youth we serve, while deepening their leadership skills and community involvement.

Signature Event

Paddles for a Purpose is the signature fundraiser of the Parks Youth Ranch Young Professionals Group — a high-energy pickleball tournament that combines fun, friendly competition, and philanthropy. Hosted at the Pickleball Country Club, the event brings together community members, local businesses, and YPG supporters to raise vital funds for the youth served at Parks Youth Ranch.

Participants enjoy a day of games, music, raffles, and networking — all while helping provide a safe haven and essential services for youth in crisis. Every serve and every point played helps make a difference, offering Home for Today, Hope for Tomorrow.
